Stop wearing antiperspirant. This is shocking advice, isn't it? Before you discount it, you should think again. There are a lot of people that actually sweat more when they use antiperspirant. The aluminum in most antiperspirants seems to agitate the sweat glands and the antiperspirant ends up doing nothing to reduce underarm sweat.

Underarm sweating can be a big problem - especially in the hot summer months that are coming. People who suffer from excessive sweating are usually sweating almost constantly - even when resting. You wear only black clothing, and have to take showers all the time.

There are also others who might want to use more natural and holistic treatment like homeopathy and herbs.

Another helpful hint to stop underarm sweat would be to wear breathable clothing, such as cotton materials. These materials will keep the body cooler even when doing physical activity. There are even sweat-proof undershirts on the market that are sold for this purpose. It is even a good idea to drink plenty of liquids while being physically active to help clean out the system without having as much excessive perspiration. Certain kinds of sports drinks and water are the best for this type of help.

If none of the above work, your doctor might suggest iontophoresis, a procedure that has been in existence for over 50 years. Your skin will receive an electrical current created by water. The procedure has proved to be effective, yet no-one really knows why or how it works. Each session lasts for 10-20 minutes.

You see, many of those who suffer from this problem simply treat it with regular deodorants and over the counter antiperspirants. The sad thing is, these treatments just don't do the trick, only providing temporary relief. Some of these treatments aren't even strong enough in extreme cases, which people still continue to sweat as if they hadn't used them in the first place. What a complete waste of money.

Discovering methods to reduce your sweating can have an absolutely huge impact on both your personal and professional life. Knowing that you are not sweating is a massive load off your mind in a social situation. It increases your confidence and people react in a more positive manner due both to your confidence and your physical well being. Professionally too, your confidence sky rockets and people begin to react to you in far more positive manners.
