Facial masks are known to do wonders to our face. Masks do not only moisturize our skin but are also relaxing, skin smoothening, energizing and mood uplifting. It is recommended that we use a beauty mask at least once a week. Beauty masks are usually thick and clay-like. Normally clay is used as a base. However, for those with sensitive skin, a gel base is mostly preferred.

However, you have a sure solution which you can adopt easily. You can easily prepare natural beauty masks in your home and with ease as well. In order prepare natural beauty masks, all you need are some basic ingredients which can be easily found in your home and kitchen. This way, you can save a lot of money and not just that, you would make sure that you are showing some commitment in order to take good care of your facial skin.

Remove cucumber skin and cut into slices. Using an egg separator, collect your egg white and discard the yolk. Place cucumber slices, egg white, lemon juice and mint extract in a blender container. Purée the ingredients until well blended and then place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Apply the cucumber mixture to your face. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm, then cool water. Blot face dry with a soft cotton towel.

Clay masks are useful in absorbing excess oil and dirt from your face. Clay tightens the skin and help stimulates the pores. Before you begin making your own clay mask, it is important to choose the right clay for your skin. For better result, you can add floral water. Simply apply to the skin and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and towel dry.

Oatmeal is good for thickening the face mask as well as working soothing on your skin. Honey is moisturizing and calming for the skin, while olive oil or even a whole egg is great for dry skin. If you use only the egg white it will have a tightening effect on your pores, making them smaller. If you use only the egg yolk it will be incredibly nurturing and soften up the driest of skins. Other things like yoghurt or milk can be used as well.

Clay is an important element present in the earth that can be mixed with water to form a smooth paste and thereby provide a smooth texture for the skin. While forming a paste add about 15 spoons of oil and when applied to the skin it turns smooth. If the skin is basically dry, then add 1 tbl of primrose base oil so that your skin receives additional moistening.

After that there are peacock feathers, which come in two types. There are peacock plumes which have the gorgeous purple and green 'eye' in them, which is very desirable for beautiful masks. Then, there are peacock spears, which are long and thin, and colored in black and brown stripes.
